Buyer’s Confidant

In a unique turn of events, Abigail came to real estate in 2016 through her social justice work to ensure that even Austin’s most vulnerable community members have a place to call home.  Though she still spends the bulk of her time working to end homelessness, she has found her niche in real estate representing buyers. Abigail finds that whether her clients are purchasing a downtown condo, a remodeled home, or the farm of their dreams, they enjoy her commitment to identifying useful resources, answering late-night phone calls, and her calm and rational approach to difficult decision-making.  Abigail looks forward to working with buyers who are excited about the process and searching for a dedicated and dynamic Realtor to guide them through it.

Social Justice Impact through Real Estate

With her creative spirit and abundant knowledge, Abigail is a valuable resource on affordable housing and is highly motivated to integrate the real estate and social justice communities in the Austin metro area.  In a unique arrangement, Abigail utilizes her license as the Community Housing Program Manager at the Ending Community Homelessness Coalition, the lead agency in a coalition of nonprofits working to end homelessness in our community.  In 2016, through a strong commitment from the Mayor’s office and the real estate community, the coalition reduced veteran representation in the overall homeless population from 12% to 3%. With Abigail’s guidance, ECHO continues to cultivate robust partnerships with property owners and managers to support all those experiencing homelessness, linking this sustained reduction to increased housing access.

The ECHO housing partnerships are an incredible opportunity for property management companies of any size to be a part of the solution while simultaneously meeting their business needs.  Abigail takes great pride in her team’s commitment to meeting both the needs of the housing providers and those of the individuals they serve, recognizing that building strong relationships with either requires honesty, responsiveness and accountability.

Understanding that each business is unique, Abigail adopts a tailored approach to each partner’s specific needs. Benefits that the ECHO program can immediately provide to its landlord partners are:
